My life has genuinely been a labyrinth of education, skills building, and connecting the dots of my unconventional career choices. I hold various degrees ranging from a Bachelors in Sociology to a Ph.D. in Health Services Administration and Public Health. Over the last 25 years, I've worked in the areas of publicity, events planning, communications, teaching, project management, logistics and strategy, and research. My careers have taken me from the heights of the entertainment industry to the legislative halls on Capitol Hill--and everything (and everywhere) in between. I've learned that there is no singular path to success, and there's more than one way to reach your goal.
Before founding JPM Global Group, I was a social scientist researching social aspects of gender and its effects on the health of women in Jamaica. Prior to that, I managed various multi-million dollar projects for the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission, Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. While completing my graduate degree, I worked for the Broward County School District in Florida as a licensed educator teaching biology and other sciences. During the summers off, I continued to develop my own strategy and logistics firm traveling to Latin America and the Caribbean meeting new people and helping them build and set up new businesses. Although my career path may seem disparate to some, it's been that range of experience that gives me my unique perspectives and creative strategies that I tap into for my clients.
I think you're ready to get out of that comfort zone and conquer some of the objectives you've been thinking about. Decades as an entrepreneurial change agent have allowed me to offer my clients fresh ideas and contribute to the strategic direction of dreams and ideas to business ownership reality. Intentional experiences with diverse people granted me some amazing opportunities to find my strengths and understand my purpose. Years of assisting people realize their potential have helped make many of my own truths clear to me: I am an attentive listener, a motivator, an innovator, an intuitive idea generator, and a firm believer that everything is connected. I love intently listening to my clients discuss the dreams for their future because I get to use what I've learned along my eclectic career to connect dots and, with a unique perspective, help them achieve a successful reality for their businesses.
Whether you're an upstart, small business, established, or revamping; or whether you're a professional, career changer or homemaker - you have a dream, an idea, a solution or service for that nagging problem. Dare to bring it to fruition, because it doesn't matter what path you've taken to get here, what matters is that there's more than one way to reach your goal.
